February 12, 2001, this VIA/Amtrack derailed when it hit ice build-up at a crossing. Normaly the south track
that the train is on is not used.

OSRX 181 MLW (alco) RS-18u at Eramosa Road in Guelph on April 22, 2005, just after a collision with a car.
Damage to 181 was a "Shinny Spot" on the coupler, the car didn't do so well. The train was moving at a
recorded speed of 9 miles per hour when emergency breaks were applied. The train was approximatly 250 tons.
Breaks were applied about 2 feet before the train entered the crossing.
